A full round takes about 30-45 minutes and clubs and balls are included, making it a cheap, all-weather family activity.

Scratch Patch at the V&A Waterfront is one of Cape Town's most-loved budget family outings: a covered 'cave' where the floor is carpeted in thousands of polished gemstones that you scoop into a bag to take home. The same venue houses a Mineral World display of crystals and gems. It's inexpensive, indoor, and equally enjoyable for kids and adults.
