Head out to Silvermine for a picnic and swim with friends, or a short hike before you jump in the reservoir. A great spot to spend the day relaxing and have a long, leisurely swim. There are also several braai facilities, but first check whether braaing is allowed on the day (during summer and high winds it’s not allowed due to the risk of veldfires). Dogs are allowed on the opposite side to the braai picnic areas, and here you will also find beautiful shaded areas to set-up your picnic for the day.
Note that there are no bins at the reservoir so be sure to take everything home with you!
