September 24th 2017, over 70 000 distinguished gentlemen from all around the world suited up for a good cause and took to the streets on their classically styled motorcycles. This to raise funds and awareness for men’s health and prostate cancer.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia by Mark Hawwa in 2012. By 2016, over 56,000 participants in 505 cities in 90 countries raised over $3.6M (USD) for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health programs in partnership with the Movember Foundation. An international event that has now raised $4,7M (USD) and saw Cape Town participating with over 250 motorcycles of all shapes and sizes.
Not only is it a fun day out with the wind in your hair but a chance to show off your wheels and make some noise for a good cause!
