Heads up — this is an archived listing from the original site (a past one-off event or a venue that has since closed). We've kept it for the record. Permanently closed. The River Club golf centre, driving range and Players Restaurant in Observatory shut on 30 April 2024 (staff given a week's notice) and the 15ha site is being redeveloped into the R4.5bn River Club mixed-use development anchored by Amazon's African HQ; earthworks/heavy machinery were on site through 2025. The driving-range/mashie-golf adventure no longer exists and cannot return.
Only a few minutes drive from the Cape Town CBD, the River Club is a great place to de-stress.
Beat the afternoon traffic rush at the driving range or mashie golf course and have a drink at the Slug and Lettuce while contemplating your golf swing!
