Silvermine Picnic
Head out to Silvermine for a picnic and swim with friends, or a short hike before you jump in the reservoir. A great spot to spend the day relaxing and have a long, leisurely swim. There are also several braai facilities, but first check whether braaing is allowed on the day (during summer and high winds it's not allowed due to the risk of veldfires). Up the Creek, Music Festival
For many people, one of the highlights of summer - music on the river banks as you float around with friends in the sun. Beautiful campsite (hot showers!), great food stalls and a stocked bar. Up the Creek is a festival for friends, if you're new to the festival scene, this is definitely a great place to start.
